How we verify reviews
Most review sites are vague about what "verified" means. This page is the opposite: it lists exactly which checks run on a valet review before it appears on an operator's profile, and it stops there. Anything not described below is something we do not do, and we would rather say so than imply a guarantee we cannot keep.
1. Every published review is email-confirmed
When someone writes a review we email them a one-tap link. Tapping it is the only way a review reaches moderation. The link is single-use, expires 30 minutes after it is sent, and is stored only as a hash — we cannot recover it, which is why an expired link means writing the review again rather than asking us to resend. No review is ever published without that confirmation. A submission nobody confirms is simply never seen by anyone.
2. What "verified request" means
Some reviews carry a small verified request line. It means one specific thing: the email address on the review matches a quote request that was sent to that same operator through this site. It is proof that the reviewer approached this operator here, before they had anything to say about them.
It is not proof that money changed hands, and we do not pretend otherwise — we do not see the operator's invoices. A review with no such line is not suspect; most people find an operator here and then call them directly.
3. Everything is screened before it appears
Confirmed reviews go through automated signals — near-duplicate detection against other recent reviews, checks for personal details such as phone numbers, plates and street addresses, repeated submissions from one network, and basic origin signals — and then a language model that scores the review and explains its score.
A review that trips nothing and is rated three stars or higher is published automatically. Anything the screen flags, and anything rated two stars or below, waits for a person , usually less than one business day. A report from a reader, or a dispute from the operator, pulls an already-published review back into that queue. The automated screen can hold a review; it can never remove one.
4. We never ask anyone for a review
This site does not send review invitations, and it never will. We do not email past visitors asking them to rate an operator, we do not run drip campaigns, and no operator can buy a request on their behalf. Every review here comes from someone who chose to come back and write one. That makes the volume lower than a site that chases reviews, and it makes the reviews mean more.
5. Operators may not pay for, discount or gate reviews
No operator may offer money, a discount, a gift or anything else in exchange for a review; condition an offer on the review being positive; or ask only the customers they expect to be happy. They may mention that the review page exists. Breaking that rule is a removal reason, and the full list is in the review guidelines.
6. Nothing here is our own business
No listing in this directory is connected to the owners of this site. We do not operate a valet company, we hold no stake in one, and no operator gets ranking, rating or moderation treatment for being a customer of ours.
If that ever changed, the affected listing would carry a one-line disclosure saying so, and it would emit no review structured data at all — no rating in search results, on any page where we have an interest in the outcome.
7. We only show an average once it means something
An operator's star average appears — on the profile, on city listings and in search-result markup — only once they have 3 or more published reviews. Below that we still show the reviews and the count, because they are useful to read, but no averaged number: a mean over one or two ratings looks like a verdict and is really noise.
What we do not claim
- We do not verify identity documents. The check is on a working email address.
- We do not see contracts, invoices or payments between a reviewer and an operator.
- We do not remove reviews for being negative, and no listing tier, claim or payment changes whether a review is published.
