Terms of Service
The rules for using Get Valet Parking.
Acceptance of terms
By using Get Valet Parking, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
We may update these terms over time. The Last updated date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Substantial changes are announced through a notice on the site or in your email if you have signed up for the newsletter.
Use of the service
Get Valet Parking is a directory of valet parking operators in the United States. The site provides operator listings, search and filter tools, a quote request form, and editorial content. The site is offered without charge to people looking for valet operators.
You agree to use the site only for its intended purpose. You agree not to scrape the directory at scale, not to automate quote submissions, not to upload malicious code, and not to interfere with normal operation of the site or other users' use of it.
User-submitted content
When you submit a quote request, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to receive a quote on behalf of the event or organization you describe. We may share the information in your request with the local operators best matched to your event so that they can respond.
When you submit a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information request, you confirm that you are a California resident or are submitting under another applicable law. False or fraudulent submissions may be rejected.
When you sign up for the newsletter, you authorize us to send you periodic editorial content and pricing benchmarks until you unsubscribe.
Reviews
Anyone who has hired a valet operator listed on Get Valet Parking may write one review of that operator. Reviews are published under the writer's first name and last initial, after the writer confirms the review from a link sent to their email address.
Reviews are the writer's opinion, not ours
A review is the personal opinion and experience of the person who wrote it. Get Valet Parking hosts reviews; it does not write them, does not commission them, and does not adopt them as its own statements. We do not edit the substance of a review, and we do not reorder or filter reviews by how favourable they are. This is the consumer-review-hosting position described in the Federal Trade Commission's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials, 16 CFR Part 465.
By submitting a review you grant Get Valet Parking a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, excerpt and syndicate that review alongside the operator's listing, including in structured data served to search engines. You keep ownership of what you wrote. You confirm that the review describes your own genuine experience, that you were not paid or otherwise compensated for it, and that you have no undisclosed personal or business connection to the operator.
One review per operator every 180 days
You may publish one review of a given operator in any 180-day period. A second submission for the same operator inside that window is rejected at the point of submission. This exists so that a single voice cannot stack a listing in either direction. If your experience changes, edit or remove your existing review with the private link in your confirmation email, or write a fresh one once the window has passed.
When a review is removed
Removal is sentiment-neutral. A low rating is never, on its own, grounds for removal, and neither is an operator's objection to being criticised. A review is removed only when it matches one of these reason codes, and every removal is recorded against the code that justified it:
| Reason code | What it means |
|---|---|
| `not-a-customer` | The writer never hired the operator |
| `conflict-of-interest` | Written by the operator, its staff, family, or a competitor |
| `personal-information` | Contains a third party's contact details, address, or other private information |
| `harassment` | Slurs, threats, or targeted abuse |
| `off-topic` | Not about the valet service being reviewed |
| `duplicate` | The same experience posted more than once |
| `incentivized` | Paid for, discounted, or otherwise exchanged for something of value |
| `author-request` | The writer asked for their own review to be taken down |
| `legal-request` | Removed to comply with a court order or a valid legal demand |
Where a review names a third party, we scrub the identifying detail rather than delete the review, so the customer's account of the service survives the correction.
What operators may not do
Claiming a listing binds the operator to these rules. Breaking them is grounds for removing the affected reviews, withdrawing the listing's reply privileges, and unclaiming the listing:
- No paying for reviews. No cash, discounts, free or upgraded service, gift cards, prize draw entries, or anything else of value in exchange for a review.
- No sentiment-conditioned incentives. Offering anything in return for a positive review, or offering to resolve a complaint only if the review is taken down, is a violation even where the underlying review is honest.
- No gating. An operator may not solicit reviews only from customers it expects to be happy, and may not route customers through a screening step that shows the review link only to those who answer well. Ask every customer or ask none.
- No reviews written by the operator, its staff, its family, or its competitors.
- No suppression requests. Asking us to take down a review because it is negative, or because it is commercially inconvenient, is not a dispute. Dispute the specific rule you believe the review breaks, or answer it in public with the one reply each review allows.
- No legal threats against reviewers. The Consumer Review Fairness Act, 15 U.S.C. section 45b, and California Civil Code section 1670.8 make void any contract term that bars or penalises an honest customer review. A non-disparagement clause in an operator's booking terms is unenforceable, and attempting to enforce one against a reviewer is itself grounds for removing that listing's reply privileges.
An operator with a claimed listing may reply once to any published review, in public, under its own name. It cannot edit, hide, reorder, or delete a review, and it cannot see the reviewer's email address at any point. An operator that believes a review breaks one of the rules above may dispute it, which opens a support ticket and hands the decision to a human moderator.
Reporting a review
Anyone can report a review from the profile page. Reports are read by a person, judged against the reason codes above, and answered. See How we verify reviews and the review guidelines for the full detail, and the privacy policy for what happens to a reviewer's email address and IP.
Operator listings and accuracy
Operator listings are compiled from public business records, operator-provided information, and third-party data sources. We make a reasonable effort to keep the listings accurate, but we do not guarantee that any specific listing is current, complete, or correct.
You should verify the operator's contact information, licensing, insurance, and current availability before booking a service. We are not a party to the agreement between you and the operator. We do not collect deposits, escrow funds, or take any role in the booking transaction.
Operators that wish to update or correct their listing can do so through the claim process described on the List Your Business page.
Intellectual property
The Get Valet Parking name, logo, page layouts, editorial content, and the structure of the directory are owned by Get Valet Parking or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish any portion of the site for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
Operator photos, logos, and descriptive copy provided by operators remain the property of those operators. We display this content under a limited license granted at the time of submission to make the listing visible on the site.
The same applies to editorial content from third parties cited in the blog. Quoted material is used under fair use or with attribution and a backlink to the source.
Disclaimers and warranties
The site is provided on an as-is basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy of any specific operator listing, pricing benchmark, or editorial claim.
We do not provide legal, financial, or business advice through the site. The blog and editorial content are for general information only.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Get Valet Parking and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or from any operator interaction initiated through the site. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to one hundred dollars.
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms periodically. Substantial changes will be announced on the site or via email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the site after the change indicates acceptance of the new terms.
